A custom gown is the perfect match for the bride who is looking for a dress that is truly one-of-a-kind.
Each gown that I design and create is inspired by the bride's unique personality and vision
for her wedding, so that on her special day she will exude radiance in her dream wedding dress.
The Dress Concept
The process of creating a custom wedding gown begins with a meeting between me and the bride.
During this meeting, we discuss the bride's dress design ideas, the overall atmosphere of the wedding,
artistic ideas, and the dress budget. I welcome any inspirational images the bride can find to help
convey her wedding dress ideas.
The Dress Design
I create a set of wedding dress design sketches based on what we discussed in the first meeting. The
bride then selects her favorite design. If none of the designs are exactly what she wants, she uses
these first sketches as a way to get closer to the perfect design. The design phase continues until
the bride is completely thrilled with the design.
Dress Construction
I take measurements, complete a mock-up of the dress, and fit it to the bride. We finalize the fabric
selection, purchase the materials, and begin construction of the dress. The bride should be able to
travel to my studio for at least four fittings.
